Bereavement
A lonely figure passes by,
His head is low, he gives a sigh.
Death of his wife has left him low,
He really has no place to go.
He feels guilt and anger too,
Why is his wife not one of you?
Passage of time is his best friend,
Healing his sorrows in the end.
But time which passes all too fast
Seems at times like this to last
For ever -
To revive one’s will to live,
The following advice I give.
Share your troubles, share your pain,
Make new friends, you’ve lots to gain.
Ask old friends round for a chat,
Many of them fancy that.
Talk to people, take advice,
Join a group like ours, it’s nice.
With our club you’ll be a hit,
Even maybe, laugh a bit!
We offer friendship and a meal,
And understand the way you feel.
All of us have passed this way,
Not far off, there’s a better day
For all.
